PS3 Media Server

PS3 Media Server is a DLNA compliant Upnp Media Server for the PS3 (and other devices), with the purpose of streaming or transcoding any kind of media files, with minimum configuration. The program was primarily designed to be used with a PS3 but also works with other devices (we tested it with an Xbox 360). Although the server provides a sleuth of configuration options, primarily for transcoding settings, it is easy to get started. You basically just have to select the folders you want to share and them access them from your PS3 (or Xbox 360). PS3 Media Server uses on-the-fly transcoding, which means that your videos will be automatically converted to the proper format while they are streaming. The servers support many popular media formats (MKV/FLV/OGM/AVI, etc.) as well as DVD folder structures and ISO images. Other features include OGG/FLAC/MPC/APE audio transcoding, support for camera RAWs thumbnails, support for podcasts audio/video feeds, DVR-MS remuxer and AviSynth support, iTunes library support and more. It's backed up with the powerful Mplayer/FFmpeg packages.
